Dauphin Island

We went to the beach last month. First time for both babies. They LOVED it. It was nice to relax & play with the kids. Conner still wasn't walking but he crawled around in the sand and did great with not putting things in his mouth. He loved finding shells and passing them out to people! Kylie loved building sand castles. Her absolute favorite was just lounging in her tube enjoying the waves.

Yikes, it's been a while!

Um, I'm a little behind! Whoops ;)

Conner started walking about 2 weeks before his birthday. He just kept practicing over & over! Then he practiced turning around. He pivots on one foot. It is adorable to watch. He's getting faster. Of course, now he's trying to gain speed.

He's also adding to his vocabulary. Let's see if I can list his words so far: ma ma, da da, "thithe" (sissy) (he used to try to call her 'yi ye' for Kylie), ball, car, turtle, duck, pup pup, night night, 'yack' for Jack, b nana, 'duece' for juice. He said wawa (water) & papaw this morning. He said good morn & zebra once!

Conner loves animals. His room is jungle themed & he loves pointing to all the animals & having us say what they are. He tries to repeat. It's cute. We were able to take a family trip to the zoo last week. Conner actually noticed the animals this time!

We started Kindermusik at the end of August. Conner LOVES it. I think Kylie is right on the edge of being too old for the class but she still enjoys it.

Kylie also started dance again a few weeks ago. Sometimes after dance we'll have a mommy/Kylie date at Lenny's or McDonald's. It seems so simple to grab dinner on the way home but Kylie thinks it's the most special thing in the world. My heart swells hearing her talk about it or telling Curtis about it when we get home.

We've been spending our days going to the Children's Museum, the zoo, Botanic Gardens Big Backyard, the park, the mall play area. Kylie would go to the Children's Museum everyday if I let her pick. Honestly, I'm totally bored with the place but now that Conner is walking I have a feeling we will be spending quite a bit of time there when it's too cold outside.
